The first vRAF C-17 to arrive at Bosaso Airstrip in Somalia delivering personnel to support humanitarian operations there as part of trials to utilise the aircraft in a tactical manner as well as its strategic capability. virtual Royal Air Force is the only VATSIM Approved military outfit for the Royal Air Force. We fly on a server with other civillian traffic and controllers something that sets us apart from any other organisation simulating the RAF. The vRAF is a simulation of the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force, operating on the VATSIM Network. The aims of the organisation is to provide a place where pilots can get together and perform Military Operations on the VATSIM Network using the UK Division as a base. A vRAF Pilot can look forward to Operational Exercises within the Organisation as well as other Virtual Airlines (for example: vRNLAF) and developing a career in an ever changing environment. The vRAF was Established on the 18th July 2007 and after a rocky start, re-launched on 25th March 2008 Software Required: Microsoft Flight Simulator 9, Squawkbox3 / FSInn, Team Speak Software Recommended: FSInn, Hamachi, Additional Scenery and Aircraft Think You Have the Stuff?
